Backend Software Engineer, PHP

We are in search of a Backend PHP Engineer to join our programming team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering highly scalable services and applications. They will have committed passion to being a lifelong learner who continuously works to improve their engineering skills and craftsmanship, and is looking to work in a highly collaborative, team-oriented, fast-paced environment. Candidates should have experience developing applications on the Laravel framework and Vue.js framework. Along with working with a database, working within a cloud environment, and with standard developer tools.

Location

This is a full-time, remote position; candidates should be eligible to work in one of the following states: AL, AZ, DC, FL, GA, HI, ID, LA, MD, MI MN, NH, NJ, NM, NY, NC, OK, OR, TX, UT, VA, WV, WI . We are an office-based company with US hubs in Fort Lauderdale, Charlotte and Fort Worth.

Technical Requirements

You'll have...

• 3+ years of experience with PHP & Laravel.
• 5+ years of experience with custom application development.
• Must be able to work US Eastern time schedule.
• Must be able to speak and write fluent English.
• Must be able to work with a team and collaborate remotely. Hard workers and self-starters please apply.
• Must be dedicated, passionate, and hard-working. Attitude is everything.
• Experience with PHP 7+, Laravel, HTML5
• Advance Laravel Experience (Middleware, Collections, Policies, Request, Resources, and Service Containers).
• Experience with software testing, TDD, and unit testing (PHPUnit, PEST).
• Experience with MySQL profiling and query optimization.
• Solid working experience building & consuming RESTful APIs.
• Active experience integrating custom code with 3rd party web services.
• Develop front-end and back-end components for large data-driven applications.

Even better, you may have...

• Experience with Javascript, Vue.js, CSS3.
• Experience working in the AWS (Amazon Web Services) ecosystem.
• Building containerized applications with Docker
• Working knowledge of application lifecycle and experience creating artifacts that support it, including written requirements, diagrams, technical documentation
