We are seeking a Senior Product Engineer to play a vital role in building and maintaining scalable custom applications that enhance our products for consumers, clients, and employees. Utilize your expertise in product development and engineering, leveraging PHP/Laravel Nova to ensure exceptional system architecture, security, and reliability. Collaborate closely with marketing and design teams and make valuable contributions to our project success. 🗺️ Location
This is a remote position. You would need to be available within our core working hours of 0900 – 1200 EST to ensure sufficient cross-over with the team.
📆 A day in the life
🏢 Lead the development and maintenance of custom applications / features as a Senior Product Engineer.
🔍 Engage in end-to-end development processes, including requirements gathering, coding, testing, and deployment. Review open pull requests, provide feedback, and follow up on active conversations in the pursuit of learning, teaching, and delivering a high quality product.
🧠 Utilize expertise in software engineering and database architecture, particularly in PHP/Laravel Nova, Vue 3, and MySQL.
🚀 Collaborate closely with other teams to ensure product usability, performance, security, and reliability.
🐞 Monitor real-time errors, prioritize, and promptly address unhandled exceptions.
Who you are ❗🔍
🎓 You are a SENIOR level engineer fluent in building and maintaining custom applications.
🚀 Previous experience in product development on a team or experience developing your own products.
🗄️ Expertise in database architecture, PHP, Laravel ecosystem (Nova, Vapor, Forge, etc.), AWS, distributed and concurrent application architecture.
📈 Understanding of when to prioritize building things correctly versus building them quickly.
💡 Proactive problem solver with ability to identify and address technical architecture challenges.
📚 Interest or experience in AI and model training.
🧠 Commitment to personal growth and continuous self-development.
💬 Team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
