About the project

CaptainJet is a platform that simplifies the booking of private jets. It consists of an API that powers two mobile applications (Android and iOS), a public-facing web interface powered by Inertia and Vue, and a private administration panel powered by Filament. CaptainJet is used by 1,500+ clients and half a dozen brokers.

We are looking for an experienced developer who enjoys working with a small and cohesive team and who is willing to take ownership of the project.

We are working with the latest Laravel versions, using Inertia, Vue, Filament, and Pest. We use Linear for project management and bug tracking, GitHub for version control and continuous integration, and Forge for server management.

Responsibilities and profile

As the main developer of CaptainJet, your responsibilities would mainly consist of the following:

• Building innovative features on the platform,
• Working with the team on technical specs and software design,
• Contributing to quality assurance processes, including thorough testing to ensure product reliability,
• Supporting daily operations, promptly addressing and resolving bugs.

Ideally, you would be:

• A Laravel expert with a comprehensive understanding of its ecosystem,
• Very mindful of both UX and DX,
• Passionate about web development and problem-solving,
• Able to work independently and possibly under tight deadlines

To work on this project, you also need to:

• Be proficient in PHP and, ideally, TypeScript,
• Have about 3-4 years of experience with Laravel,
• Have experience with Livewire and/or Filament,
• Love Tailwind CSS,
• Have strong English communication skills, spoken and written.
