Full-stack Remote Developer (Vue.js & Laravel)
Apero Creative Development is searching for a developer who likes working in Laravel and Vue.js from the comfort of their own environment.
About Us
Apero is a group of nerdy individuals who like to work on web application projects. We are mostly a service company but we are very picky about our clients to ensure they're a good fit for our team. We have also built a few products over the years to help us explore our passions. Most of us like playing outdoors so our side projects tend to reflect that. We strongly believe in work/life balance, freedom of expression, individuality and personality.
Our clients and team are 100% remote so we need some overlap with the Pacific time zone. We have minimal management oversight so everyone needs to cover for each other and produce quality, crafted work. We use Slack, Jira, Git, AWS and Laravel Forge to manage our workflows but are open to other tools as needed.
Skills you’ll need (or can google quickly)
- Laravel, including queues, middleware, service providers, migrations.
- VueJS (apparently version 3 now!?)
- General understanding of APIs
- General understanding of web stacks (Apache, Nginx, MySQL)
- Git version control, cause no one likes FTP
Fun things we do
- We structure our work around our lives as much as we can
- We host most production apps on AWS services like EC2, Elastic Beanstalk, and RDS
- We travel to LA for an annual black-tie gala (if you like that sorta thing)
- We sponsor and participate in Paddling related events

Products we're proud of
Our team is made of outdoor enthusiasts with a technological appeal. So in our spare time we like to contribute back to the outdoors.
PaddlingClubs
Our most recent addition to the family is a platform for clubs to manage their memberships and local events.
Here is our team
Jessica Hadden
Project Manager
An organizational guru, Jessica knows a thing or two about closing tickets.
Jeff Sill
Developer
What this master of electrical engineering can't build, we don't know.
Nathan Karsgaard
Designer
Turning the code into something people can use is Nathan's super power. He designs brands, interfaces, digital and print. And he's been known to run for weeks on end... Just for fun.
Daniel Washbrook
Technical Architect
Solving technical problems is what drives this guy. And cats. Since before the internet was cool, he's been nerding out on servers and backend code.
